This is one of the most amazing pieces of body artwork I have come across. Bright and colourful - this is a full coverage back tattoo of the Hindu diety Ganesha. Absolutely amazing. I am adding it to the Tattoo Hall of Fame right away!

I'm not sure which tattoo festival this picture was taken at but for those of us living in the North-West - you might want to check out the Calgary Tattoo and Arts Festival that will be held at the Stampede Round-Up Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Tattoo mayhem will commence at Noon on Sat Aug 30, 2008 and continue through Labour Day Monday until 6pm. Pin-up artist Dave Nestler will be there as well as many Tattoo Artist's such as Dave Green from Sacred Heart Tattoo in Vancouver, Tom Murphy from Mean Street Tattoo in New York and Robert Egbert from Slave to the Needle in Seattle, Washington among many others. This Buddhist lotus flower hand tattoo was spotted at the Star of Texas Tattoo Art Revival convention in 2006. The artwork continues up his arm. I'm afraid I can't interpret the Asian characters that are in each lotus petal.

Wow. The heavy solid ink coverage on this full back tattoo is dramatic. The red and black create bold contrast. I'm going with Lion although I imagine I could be wrong.

I don't know what this clan crest represents, which I suppose could be a little dangerous, but I have fy fingers crossed that it's nothing too crazy. What catches my eye is the extremely clean lines and quality shading. The crest includes a belt and arrows tied with a ribbon.
